Heavenly Hound Review

Review, Review! It’s my first review!

I have anxieties. You’d notice if you met me. I’m a little pup and this world is big! (It’s been a while since I nervous peed, so I’m getting better!) What gives me anxieties? All sorts of stuff, but I’ll list a few so you get the idea.
·       Windshield wipers on car rides
·       People that I don’t know
·       Other puppies
·       Plastic bags, or any type of plastic that makes noises
·       Loud noises or knocks on the front door
·       Rain
·       Wind
When I get scared, I shiver, like I’m in a blizzard, and my eyes get as big as saucers. In some cases (windshield wipers and loud noises), I bark and shake. Mama and Daddy try their best to calm me down, but it doesn’t work all the time. In fact, most of the time, they have to give me a blanket and I’ll burrow in it or they’ll tie a sweatshirt around me.
Over the holiday season, I got a lot of treats, and bones, and toys. (I’m sure you’ll see pictures of it all in my adventures on Instagram.) The best present though had to come from my Grandpa. He went to Hollywood Feed, here in Memphis, Tennessee and got me two peanut butter bars by Heavenly Hounds. OH MY WOOF! It is such a yummy treat! AND it helped calm me down soooo much! I ate half of it, since I weigh sixteen pounds (which means there are two servings in each bar, for me), and I LOVED it. Mama and I noticed right away that it had a ton of peanut butter in it by the smell. The ones I got specifically said “Gluten Free,” and that is great, because puppies with allergies to wheat won’t get itchy when they eat it. I was nervous over the holidays because of all the people, and after eating this I was able to relax and play with my puppy sisters and friends. And boy, did I have a good nap! The best nap in a while, actually! It even kept me calm and restful for the rest of the night. After my nap, I was ready to play, just wasn’t nervous when faced with my normal triggers.
This treat has Passion Flower and Valerian Root in it. Mama says both of those are to soothe anxiety. She even drinks tea before bed that has Valerian in it, so she felt safe giving it to me! I won’t complain about getting a treat that takes my nervousness away, and tastes so good. The only problem Mama had with this is that it was really crumbly. I ate all I was supposed to, but left behind a mess of crumbs… that I refused to eat. I can’t be this cute and clean!  YUM! Now I’m not scared about getting nervous, because I have something to calm me down. Fun Fact: Each bar has a paw point symbol on the back label. Well, make sure your human saves that! When you collect fifteen points, your human can mail it in and get a sampler pack, which includes three bars! I’ve only just started collecting, so I’ve got two, but you better believe I’m making sure my Mama saves them. Not only will I get mail (which is super exciting!), but it will be FREE treats! And that just hardly ever happens!
Below, my Mama will do the boring part and give everyone some information on the treat, or you could always visit HeavenlyHounds and check it out yourself!

Mama and I talked about it, and came to the conclusion that this is a great product.

Final Verdict: 4 ½ Wags out of 5
(Half a star was deducted, because Mama said it was a crumbly and made a mess)
